Meet Kulsum Khan, Registered Social Worker and Globe Trotter
I am a visibly Muslim Pakistani Canadian backpacking enthusiast who loves learning about different cultures, exploring countries and making new friends and family members across the globe. I have had the privilege of visiting more than 20 countries and I continue to travel because there are just so many beautiful places to see and such little time! I hope to share my travel lessons and adventures to assist other female travelers in planning their own expeditions.
My Islamic standpoint on women travelling alone: “Contemporary scholars have permitted women to travel without a mahram for educational purposes, visiting parents, and so forth when the conditions of safety and security are met, which are generally fulfilled by modern modes of transportation.” Shaykh Faraz Rabbani extracted from http://seekershub.org/ans-blog/2016/04/11/13617/
